SERVICES: WILR educates and empowers Wyoming citizens with disabilities by providing the tools to live with independence and dignity. We assist with equipment and skills training to provide consumer safety and independence in their home; equipment and skills training for individuals who are blind or have permanent visual impairments; transportation funding for consumers who cannot drive; ADA consultations; assistance with nursing home diversions and transitions back into the community; care coordination for consumers opting to direct their own care; education and assistance to agriculture producers with disabilities to continue farming and ranching; and a low interest loan program to purchase assistive technology, home modifications, and equipment related to personal independence. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Presence of a significant disability; disability severely interferes with independent living; reasonable expectation that services will enable the individual to obtain/maintain/increase independence. We can serve consumers who have disabilities such as: heart attack, stroke, diabetes, MS, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, arthritis, etc.
FEES: No demand fees: consumers are encouraged to contribute to their rehabilitation program.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES: We accept referrals from individuals, physicians, and any other agency. Specialists are often able to respond to a referral within 2 working days.
